Tip for Undergraduates and Beginners

If you are a new user of the library and just want to get started and find some useful but important information, consider Scout our one-stop discovery tool.  Scout delivers content owned or licensed by the library. Scout will find a variety of resources, including general and scholarly materials.

After you've executed a search in Scout, you can refine your results by using facets listed in the left-hand column.  For example, one of of the facets shown in the left-hand column leads only to books.  Choose a different facet and you can zero in on refereed articles published in scholarly journals. In general terms, Scout performs much like Google  and other commercial search engines, delivering a rich array of resources presented by relevancy ranking.

Login to Scout.
