Finding books

Key Point: To search for books on theater, use the spelling "theater," not "theatre."

To find books on various subjects, it is helpful to search by Subject Headings. Subject headings containing the word "theater" refer to drama as acted on the stage; the word "theaters" refers to facilities for staging drama; "drama" refers to plays as literary works. If you want to find books about a particular playwright, search that person's name as a subject heading. Here are some useful subject headings:
