This guide serves to support graduate students enrolled in BER 500, Introduction to Education Research.

Using Scout

Scout is the main search tool for UA Libraries, Scout allows you to search the catalog, most of the libraries' databases, and the digital repository Acumen. Scout is a great place to start a broad search on a topic, but more targeted searching may be more successful in the catalog or subject-specific databases.

Doing basic searching within Scout will typically provide you with thousands of results.  It's helpful to use the Advanced Search features to better help you find resources that fit your specific needs.
