RefWorks

An overview of the citation management software RefWorks.

PubMed to RefWorks

This specifically is an example of importing a citation from PubMed, but works the same as with other databases where you can download a citation file.

1. Find an article in PubMed and click on the article page.

2. Locate the “Send To” on the top right side of the screen, then "Citation Manager", then “Create File” and the file will download to your computer.

3. From the "All References" page on RefWorks, click on "Add" with a plus sign above it in the top left corner of the screen.

4. Select “Import References"

5. Under "Import From A File", click on "Select File From Your Computer," select the file, and click import.
