Aeon: A User Guide

Aeon: an Introduction

Aeon is an automated request and workflow management software specifically designed for special collections libraries and archives.

Among other things, researchers can use Aeon to do the following:

  • Request to view archival collections and published materials in the Hoole Library Reading Room.
  • Request photoduplication of images/text from our archival collections and/or digital collections
  • Request photoduplication of maps from The Alabama Maps digital archive and website.
  • Submit a request for photocopies/basic scans.
  • Submit an application to publish request (for permission to use our images/sources in a formal publication).

For any Aeon-related questions, please email us at archives@ua.edu or call us at 205-348-0500.
