Sara Maurice Whitver is the Digital Humanities Librarian at The University of Alabama Libraries and liaison librarian for the Departments of English. She joined the faculty at University of Alabama Libraries in 2012. Her academic background is in Digital Rhetoric and her research examines the ways in which people engage in worldbuilding and create space for community on social media platforms. She is interested in reducing the barriers to digital humanities by exploring a combination of out of the box and minimal computing workflows that allow scholars to produce quality projects without having to become experts in computer programming. She leads the Alabama Digital Humanities Center at the University of Alabama Libraries.
