What is an Abstract?
- Short summary of an article.
- Informative and descriptive. Abstracts tell the reader what is in an article.
- Doesn't analyze or make conclusions. It must accurately state the contents.
- Encourages the reader to read the original article.
- Research abstracts should include the objective and scope of the investigation, the methods used in the research, the primary results and the main conclusions as stated in the article.
