Academic Technologies and Rodgers Library librarians provide instructional support for the use of academic software and other technologies used in class assignments and research projects. These Librarians provide one-on-one help with class projects and assignments through consultations. They also offer workshops, work with instructors to design assignments and provide software instruction sessions to their students, and create instructional guides and tutorials.

The Alabama Digital Humanities Center (ADHC) is located in Gorgas Library room 109A and offers faculty, staff, and advanced students resources to explore digital humanities. Organized and supported by a community of academics at the University of Alabama, the ADHC provides technical skills, equipment, and collaborative opportunities to researchers at all levels of expertise and interest in the field. The University of Alabama Libraries support over 140 software packages. The UA Libraries Software List lists the software installed on public computers in Bruno, Gorgas, Hoole, McLure, and Rodgers libraries. Users can browse by name or category, then select the desired software to read a description and find out on which computers it is available (operating system and location), its version(s), and installed pieces or plugins.
