Most external funding from NASA comes from their Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Science (ROSES) program through their Science Mission Directorate (SMD).
Note: NASA calls their DMP an "Open Science and Data Management Plan" (OSDMP), but is relatively the same as other general DMPs and DMSPs. In compliance with the upcoming Open Science initiative, 2023 proposals will also need to plan to have their peer-reviewed publication (or accepted manuscript) available to the public at the time of publication.
All NASA funded research (publications and their associated data) must be deposited to NASA's designated repository, the STI Repository (previously PubSpace).
You can find the full requirements for your OSDMP (Open Science and Data Management Plan) on the NASA website
All other divisions should follow NASA's general OSDMP recommendations.
