UA LibGuides Author Guide: UA LibGuides Guidelines & Best Practices (2012-)

Best practices, guidelines, training, and support for UA LibGuides authors.

UA LibGuides Guidelines & Best Practices

The current revision of the actual guidelines and best practices document.

Why Guidelines & Best Practices?

"Our goal is to provide users with a consistent and user-friendly experience when using LibGuides. The guiding document and the template were created with this goal in mind.

The intellectual/functional content of LibGuides material is difficult to create and manage without the constant need to additionally make creative decisions relating to typography, element placement, colors, and naming conventions. The templates and guidelines explained in this document are meant to provide users with a consistent and user-friendly experience when using LibGuides as well as free the content creator from the aforementioned onerous decision-making process, which can be distracting to the primary and most important aspect of a LibGuide – the content."
